RWCS Designation Surpasses 250 Graduates
More than 250 individuals have now completed the Registered Workers’ Compensation Specialist (RWCS) designation to improve their knowledge of the workers’ compensation industry and enhance their careers.
Graduates of the RWCS program come from a variety of occupations including government, insurance sales/management, human resources, safety/claims and legal/medical.
“While the majority of individuals who complete the Registered Workers’ Compensation Specialist designation are from the insurance industry we are pleased that many human resource professionals have taken the course to further their knowledge of this important area of their job responsibility,” said Porter T. Talbot, Executive Director of The National Registry of Workers’ Compensation Specialists. “Another occupation that we have seen growth in this designation is from municipal clerks. Often one or more employees in a city, county or state government are in charge of workers’ compensation for their jurisdiction and have found the RWCS program gives them a better understanding of the general definitions, rules and regulations dealing with workers’ compensation,” Talbot commented.
The National Registry of Workers’ Compensation Specialists, was created for corporate and government employees to develop and maintain leading-edge knowledge of the industry and to recognize their academic achievements by awarding them a professional designation specific to the field of workers’ compensation.
