RWCS Designation Officially Recognized by The International Institute of Municipal Clerks
Rancho Cucamonga, CA - January 10, 2004 – The International Institute of Municipal Clerks recognizes the RWCS designation for continuing education credit towards the Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) and Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) certifications.

“We are pleased by the IIMC’s recognition of the Registered Workers’ Compensation Specialist (RWCS) designation,” said Porter T. Talbot, Executive Director of The National Registry of Workers’ Compensation Specialists. “Municipalities, much like private employers, need education regarding workers’ compensation,” Talbot stated.

Founded in 1947, the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) is the leading professional nonprofit association of Municipal Clerks and officials from cities and towns around the world. IIMC currently has 10,400 members, mostly from the U.S.A. and Canadian municipalities. The IIMC mission is to encourage and provide professionalism in local government through education.

The National Registry of Workers’ Compensation Specialists, was created for corporate and government employees to develop and maintain leading-edge knowledge of the industry and to recognize their academic achievements by awarding them a professional designation specific to the field of workers’ compensation.
