About
Us
The National Registry of
Workers’ Compensation Specialists™ was created for safety
and risk managers, consultants, insurance agents, attorneys, underwriters,
claims examiners, customer service representatives, and other interested
individuals to develop and maintain leading-edge knowledge of the
industry and to recognize their academic achievements by awarding
them a professional designation specific to the field of workers’
compensation.
Our
Mission
The mission
of The National Registry of Workers' Compensation Specialists™
is fourfold:
- To offer
a comprehensive and practical workers' compensation education.
- To serve
individuals who deal in the field of workers' compensation.
- To enhance
the stature of the workers' compensation industry.
- To recognize
qualified workers' compensation professionals with the RWCS designation.
Career
Development
According to
industry experts, workers compensation is one of the most dynamic
and critical areas of employer liability. More than just an
insurance policy, it is an entire system of definitions, rules and
regulations that must be understood and navigated for maximum effectiveness.
To be successful
in today's competitive marketplace requires that you be knowledgeable
about all aspects of this sophisticated business. Earning
the Registered Workers' Compensation Specialist™ designation
demonstrates to your clients, your employer and your peers that
you are serious about your career as a workers' compensation professional.
Upon successful
completion of the required examination and signing of the Code
of Ethics, The National Registry of Workers' Compensation Specialists™
confers the Registered Workers' Compensation Specialist™ designation.
The RWCS™ graduate will be sent a diploma and may begin using
the marks RWCS™ and the words "Registered Workers' Compensation
Specialist"™ on their business cards and letterhead.
